Tap Me has unveiled an in-game mobile advertising platform that it says solves two problems that have hampered the mobile gaming ad market to date: it will make ad insertion easy and the ads will non-disruptive to players.
Great claims and hope they are true because this is the direction we need on mobile advertising. Having helped a start up recently with their marketing efforts for a mobile app we ran into this issue of i) finding the users on mobile - we know they are there but exactly where are they most efficiently reached ii) getting them to click thru which means = being relevant + not annoying + not interrupting them and iii) converting them. We ran some very cool mobile marketing experiments and it learned a lot (more on that soon) but the key learning was -- It's all happening inside the apps!!!
